πΌ SLES β School Leaver Employment Supports
Personalised support to help you move from school to work
At 3 Minds Qld, we understand that leaving school is a big step β and everyoneβs journey is different. Our SLES supports are fully personalised to help young people gain the skills and confidence they need to move into employment, further training, or volunteering.
We work 1-on-1 with each participant to build a tailored employment plan based on their goals, strengths, interests, and needs. We break big goals down into small, achievable steps and walk alongside you through every part of the process.
π‘ SLES may include support with:
π Goal setting and planning β exploring interests and building a clear, personalised pathway
π Task breakdown and progress tracking β making goals feel achievable and celebrating every success
π Public transport training β learning to safely use buses, trains, and navigate the community
π¬ Communication and workplace behaviour β building confidence in speaking, listening, and understanding social cues
π§ Job readiness skills β resume writing, mock interviews, and understanding what employers expect
𧩠Workplace routines and independence β learning how to follow instructions, manage time, and ask for help when needed
πΌ Work experience β exploring job placements or volunteering opportunities in supportive environments
π§ββοΈ 1-on-1 mentoring β ongoing coaching and guidance from a dedicated support worker or employment mentor
We work closely with families, schools, and other providers to ensure each young person has the support they need to build skills for real-world success β not just today, but for the future.
